Will dosing carbon remove toxins?
I don't think so. Carbon absorbing toxins is because of the microscopic irregularities of the carbon grains that trap toxins and whatnot. They literally get trapped and removed when the media is changed.

Yea I think what he meant to say is to RUN some carbon not carbon dosing.
 
It's all sortve been said, but for sure get your Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate down more. I also think your alk is high. That was a big cause of RTN for me in the past. I like to keep mine at 8. Sometimes too big of an alk difference in the different tanks will make them die.

For Green Slimmers though, usually they don't die so fast. There is a little something else affecting it.

What type of salt do you use?
