I am getting in on the Club buy for the reactors and was considering going biopellets with it. I already run GFO and Carbon on another reactor. Reading up on the biopellets I am not sure if I would benefit that much from them in terms of notrate reduction. My nitrates are typically under 2 ppm and even if I skip a WC they stay under 5 ppm. Am I a good candiate for Biopellets or should I just run a ton of carbon in it?

I hear that teh bacteria it forms can be beneficial to sps as well.

I would think that if you can stay under 5 on your nitrates (with "old" water).. that you wouldnt see the benefit..

I think it's more for guys like me who can change 20% and the nitrates not budge off 12-15..

Thanks Ron, thats kinda what I was thinking. I use one of those BRS dual reactors for carbon/gfo. I may just use the dual for GFO and run a whole lotta carbon in the big one....
