Biopellets

Hmmm that's weird....they really don't start doing anything for weeks. Maybe to much to start with. I've had them online for 4 months slowly raising the amount in the reactor and have had good results still figuring it out but, nitrates and phos are under control. .02

I used them for about 5 months. My nitrates and phosphates stayed pretty low. I had a low bioload on the tank and I think they were too much at this time. Seemed like they stripped a lot of trace elements and other stuff. I probably wasn't feeding heavily enough to be using them. I switched the reactor over to seagel for the carbon and phosphates and added a couple of liters of matrix to help with nitrates. As the tank matures I will probably try them again. Be sure to start with a small amount and increase slowly. I used a T fitting on the reactor outlet hose to feed directly through my skimmer. No issues with cloudiness.
