I may have to reseal a tank soon. I would like to do the whole think with black silicone. 1)has any one done this, does it look ok 2) Is there any where locally to buy black reef safe silicone?

AGA All Glass Aquariums use to sell it Check with your LFS.

Personally i think it MUCH better just to buy a new tank than reseal.

well I got a good deal on the tank so I am going to give it a shot and see how it goes thanks for info on the silicone

I did it on my 120 and it looks great. the only problem was that the seams are still clear. dosen't really bother me though. I bought 2 large tubes of black silicone from petland duluth. you can give them a ring and ask if they have any. just be sure to specify "Black". You can try HD or Lowes as well. as long as you use 100% silicone approved for cooking and food prep surfaces. Or you can just do the good ole ebay thing! http://cgi.ebay.com/10-3oz-All-Glass-Aquarium-100-BLACK-Silicone_W0QQitemZ300135499545QQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.com/10-3oz-All-Glass-Aquarium-100-BLACK-Silicone_W0QQitemZ300135499545QQcmdZViewItem</a>

Good Luck!

P.S. Here is a pic of my resealed tank 120.
