I have some rock that as been out of my tank for a year or so but there is still green on it from the hair algae I had when it was in my tank. I have set up a new tank but was wondering what you guys thought about bleaching the rock to get rid of the green dried slime and also to whiten it a bit. Im sure I would have to give it a few good rinses before putting it in my dt.
Any suggestions or has anyone done this before?

Put it in a tub, cover it with water, pour a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in it, wait a day, take it out, let it dry completely, then use it.

That's what I do.
