blue background or black?

Im getting a new tank. Kind of an upgrade. But im debatign on painting the back blue or black.
Previously all tanks have been black but i kind of feel like the black kind of soaks in the light and i think blue would be a nice bright look.

let me know your opinion and id see plenty of black background pics.
Black background pics are welcomed but id really like to see some pics of tanks with blue backgrounds.

Go with gray......

Black soaks up all the light it seems, and blue limits you choice of fish colors (fish with blue in them would get lost in the background

A medium Gray color really makes the fish and rock POP!

This is a good question seeing how we are going to be putting a background on the new 60.I was wanting to put the blue?TY Chris

unless you plan on scrapping the rear glass once or more a week, it will be covered with coraline algae anyways in 6 months or so.

Had a pic, but lost it in the latest computer crash......

Gray is a good color because its very plain, and focuses attention on the fish.... Also, since few reef fish are gray, no fish gets lost in the background

Posterboard idea is a great one. I like blue. It gives the tank more depth and looks more natural

This is my tank with blue but I like the gray idea also. I did not think about that.

Doesn't hide the plumbing or break it up as much from your room since the background is the same color. All personal preference though.
