I actually have almost a gallon of paint left of that color. It was cheaper to buy a gallon that a quart...go figure! If you want that I can probably ship it to ya. lmk

I actually painted mine black but was too lazy to scrape the Coraline off and it soon became purple. But I have seen both colors on tanks where the back was kept clean and the corals seem to show up more on the black.

have you thought of doing a foam wall backdrop? Its extremely easy, cheap, and looks absolutley amazing. I just did one on my tank, and i love it. P.m me if youd like to know how to do it!

reeferboy, i think we might run into some issues shipping but i will keep it as an offer and appreciate it.

Grouper, i love coral color too. Now if only i had as much as you it would be awesome but unfortunately for some reason college likes to cost money...boo

cbrjenkins, LOTS of people seem to like that but i dont know. I just never really fell for that. right now im leaning towards the blue...I just have to get my tank back from drilling and i will be setting it up ASAP.

I also hate seeing the wall or other, surrounding objects through the back and sides of a tank. For me, that detracts from the visual appeal. I like black for the back (and sometimes sides, in small tanks). IMHO, it's easier to hide powerheads, heaters, filter intakes, and similar equipment against a black background.

Do you not have a problem with fish attacking their reflection or stressing out with a mirrored background?

I like the simple plan old black. As other's have said...it should be covered in purple coraline algae in a few months anyway...then it won't matter what color you went with.

yeah i know what you mean. But for the time being i dont want a clear background and still for the time being i feel like black soaks in too much color.
