Bonehead pvc question

So I got a little premature with my plumbing today. I glued everything the other and today was leak test day. Well since I'm running the plumbing over the top of the tank I decided to paint it black and for some reason decided to do that before the leak check. Of course I found something wrong at the very end of my return and need to hack off the 90 going over the tank and replace it. Now that the PVC is painted, will it have any problems gluing? I'm afraid to try and use any type of paint remover.

I would use some fine grit sand paper, to make sure you get a good bond.

Should be fine but if your worried about it you could hit it with some sand paper.
