Booster pump problems

I recently acquired a booster pump from a reefer that was getting out. I hooked it up yesterday, while it was working (vibrating) it was only increasing my psi from 36 to 40. He swears it was up and running flawlessly before he sold it to me. Is there anything I need to do? Or better question, is there common problems associated with booster pumps that I need to do prior to setting them up? Like bleeding or purging air? Running for awhile to loosen up possibly? Or did I just get took :mad2:

If it is a diaphragm pump it might have to be bled. Some do some dont

I diaphragm pump is a rubber membrane that is pulsed for pumping action.

Post a pick if you can

IIt is a diaphragm. Pump. It probably needs a new one. The manufacture. Says replace diaphram every 2 to 3 years

If you were not so far I would take a look at it for you
Parts should be cheap and pretty easy to do.

Where would I find manufacturer recommendations, instructions and hopefully troubleshooting material? I'm normally pretty good about finding this stuff but "the Google" is eluding me tonight.

Www
Waterfiltersonline.com has the instructions under cdp8800
