So, I came downstairs and peeked at my tank as I walked by. I noticed that the GBTA was up on the rock a little higher than normal so I took a closer look. It looked like it was eating something but I only had moon lights on so I couldn't tell for sure. I turned the actinics on so I could see better and found that my GBTA was having a nice breakfast with my diamond goby as the main course!!

So, now I want to get another sand sifter. What do you guys think I should add?

Is it possible the fish died and when it was floating around the tank the nem snagged it? A healthy fish should not succomb to an anemone...

I guess that's possible, but the goby had been swimming around and healthy. I had seen him sifting just the day before. I would agree with you though that it doesn't seem like a healthy fish would get caught that easily. Maybe the clowns bullied him and then fed him to the nem! :) Their homes were right next to eachother.

Sad to hear it. I had a peppermint shrimp back into my GBTA during feeding one night. Almost got caught but scooted his way out.

Every time I feed my RBTA, both cleaner shrimp will dive INSIDE the folds of it, steal its food and drag it out and share it. They seem to have no fear of being eaten.

Maybe he clowns wanted to have a manáge a trois and tried to take him back to their place unknowingly condeming him to death.....lol

hehe... yeah... mine HAD no fear... And, well, it didn't end well one day...

Hmmmm... I wonder if thats why I kept on losing peppermint shrimp on my 45. I had a GBTA that was about 8 to 10 inchs wide with a mouth that was about 1.5 to 2" wide when it opens up fully.
