Brine mysis shrimp

I have a ton of the little brine mysis shrimp - any advice on how to handle them?

If this is in fact a for sale thread Brisco is correct. You must name an asking price. If it a thread asking for advice on what to do with them I should move it to Reef Discussion. But, like Brisco said, free food for your fish. Can't beat that with a stick.

No, I was not listing for sale - I have too many of them and just wanted to know if there is an easy way to get rid of them/scale them down some.

Are you sure there brine shrimp? Wouldn't think they would just show up, maybe amphipods? If you want to remove them and there large enough just scoop them out with a fish net. I wouldn't thing in a tank with fish they would be able to reproduce. Let us know how it turns out.

They are tiny and mostly come out at night. There are lots of white (eggs?) on parts of my sump. They usually stay deep in the rocks and on some of the corals. Yeah, doesn't sound like shrimp. Take a look at the first picks in this thread: http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15479">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15479</a> The first time I saw them, I thought they looked like shrimp, too.

The "eggs" are probably unrelated. I used to see those on mine all the time, too.

ok, can't seem to figure out how to post pics. Anyway, seems like there is lots (hundreds?), I pulled my birdsnest out the other day and there were about 4 or 5 on it. They are about 1/4" long, curved, brown, and wiggly.

Edit: yeah, they look like the <u>Amphipods</u>

Edit: I figured they were harmless, just concerned because there seems to be so many.

That is kind of what I was thinking, not sure which would be the best - reef safe and get along with my other fish (tangs and clowns) - any suggestions?

Pods are great free fish food, they will give your fish a treat and something to hunt in your tank. My mandarins love them and my yellow corris wrasse hunts all day long!

Didn't mean to hijack... LOL... Serioulsy: A yellow corris wrasse would be perfect. I'd probably steer clear of the mandarin right now, unless you plan on re-stocking with pods over and over again...
