Supposedly they're great to have... personally, the day my micro brittle population out competed the last of them was a good one.

I greatly prefer having one of the starfish wrap around a finger than the worms.

Personally, I don't like them because of the injury they can inflict however they are good scavengers.

Yep same here, for years I did everything I could to keep them out of the tank. At this point I have accepted that they are here to stay.

They are supposedly good scavengers and I have never noticed any negative effects from having them.
