Bristleworm removal?

Some wrasses will eat them. Some coral banded shrimps will eat them.... then there is good ol' manual removal

Well they are in my sump and I noticed they are multiplying like crazy. Can I starve them do death? What do they feed off of?

Coralife makes a bristleworm trap. i have heard mixed reviews. If they are in your sump, and you dont have sand or any kind of substrate, you can totally shop vac the sump when you are doing your next h2o change. it will be hard to starve them.

I think that's what I am going to end up doing when I get my R/O unit up and running. I'll check out that trap and see if it works. Thanks

I am getting a large amount of them. I have a 1 1/2 inch of sand and they are coming out. Its like they don't have room to hide. So i figured I'd get rid of them.

Sign of overfeeding. Slow down your feeding a little and throw a 6line in the sump for a little while. I have one you can borrow if needed.

Hey thanks for the offer and advice Chris. I'll definitely give you a call if I need it. I think I am just going to drain my sump, it needs to be cleaned.

I had bristleworms. Then I got a melanarus wrasse. Once the red flatworms were gone, it was bristle-geddon. Poor things; I kinda liked em.

If I get one of the Melanarus and put a small pump in my sump how long do you think I could keep it in there?

Really? I was thinking about getting one and that was in the description so I opted out.

He might not be super happy in there long term, mine does sleep in the sand and enjoys picking on the rocks. But I bet he"d be alright long enough to finish off the worms; mine eats like a pig. (and isn't picky, frozen or pellet or flake, it's all good)
