Brittle Sea Stars...and then some

Check this out. I have a village of brittle sea stars living in my sump. What's weird is that the last LR that I added was back in May or June. And all of that went into my main tank but yet here there are like 10 or 12 sea stars. They tend to come out a bit after feeding.

Totally normal. They tend to populate in sumps and fuges b/c there are no predators. Pretty cool, though.

Is the color of yours what they usually look like? This is what mine look like. I discovered them many months ago and I have lots. I normally only see their tentacles reaching out.

My stars look just like my picture. Though I've only seen them a few times.

i have quite a few also though most being im my LR have, two different kinds i believe, they have colors like the pics each of you posted.
