Hey everyone, i just upgraded to a 150 Metal Halide Double ended and the uv deflecting glass is broken. Lucky i found out before all my fish and coral died, but the corals are looking pretty sad. I got my T5 back on until i can get a replacement piece.

I was wondering if anyone knew where i can get a piece cut or if anyone has any laying around they dont need. I am willing to pay you for it, but i will gladly just relieve you of the extra clutter if need be ;)

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have any suggestions on possible fixes? Am i the First person with this problem in the history of reef aquariums? if so i want a freaking award, like a piece of uv reflecting glass!

They said they carry Low E glass for house window. Im just unsure if that is the same thing or not. I know it blocks some UV but i dont know if it would be enough for my tank. Thanks!

What fixture do you have, have you searched for a replacement glass online.I know you can buy them for most of the single end reflectors.

Ive got some here but the problem you have is most of those are tempered glass and thus can not be cut. I don't think you'll find it in a glass shop. You'll probably have to go back to the manufacturer of the unit and purchase there...provided they still make that particular one.

+1 you need tempered glass. Try the fixture manufacturer

As mentioned above, the manufacturer would be the best place. You're not the only one that has had this happen so they will likely have pieces for you.
