Unfortunately, I just purchased some new frags that have brought the Bubble Algae with them. Fortunately, they are on the frags and I am able to lift them out of the tank and do the cutting procedure. What should I rinse the new cut area with? Peroxide?? I know whatever it is I should keep it off the frag.
Or will the Coral RX, or Coral Revive work? Bubba

Not sure the answer to your question, but that stuff is insidious. I would consider banishing them, unless you can be absolutely sure none is transmitted. You will regret it otherwise....

Ounce of prevention, pound of cure... blah blah blah

Peroxide will kill it. 5 minutes.

if you can remove rock from tank, spray, coat rock in H2O2 for 5 minutes, rinse, put back in tank.

If not, pull out with tweezers (don't worry if bubble breaks)....and/or coat with Kalk (just get some Mrs. Wages Picking Lime from grocer and mix with water into a paste with the consistency of wasabi sauce).

You know i didnt think it would help but i bought two emerald crabs couple days ago. A little while after being in the tank they are eating my bubble algea. I can watch both of them picking it off and eating it.

I know they are supposed to eat it sometimes, but I think i got lucky for once! lol .... I dont have alot of it but enough to worry about and they are on the case!
