BUBBLE ALGEA - I want it to die and go away

I am pretty proud of my tank right now. BUT I have some bubble algea. Not an extreme amount but enough to aggravate me. If it was gone I would feel like I had finally reached the pinnaccle, bliss, nirvana.. no aptasia , no cyano , no algea, no diatoms. I have finally made it to the promised land, I can see it, if not for that stinkin bubble algea.


What do I do to get rid of it?

Try emerald crabs. Get a couple of the bigger ones. The smaller ones don't seem to touch it. The bigger ones are hit and miss.

I am working on a solution for BA. It is my worse enemy, as well.

Once I have tested it a little bit longer, I'll share.

Um I have had pretty good success with keeping my water too clean. I had an outbreak a couple months ago. I cut my feedings way down upped gfo and kept alk at 7.5dkh. Bubble algae is disapearing.

I am no expert however, when I had an outbreak in my first tank, I watched the emerald pull them off the rock without breaking them. He ate them whole. Took about a week for him to clean out the tank and I never saw another. Maybe I just got lucky. :yay:
