ive got a 75g reef master that has 4inch sand bed and about 10lbs of rock rubble in it. in the last few days ive started to notice some bubble algae on the rocks and starting to climb the walls. ive pulled the rocks out and scrubbed them and even turned my lights off for a few days and it hasnt seemed to reduce it at all. it hasnt seemed to make its way into the main tank yet though.
ive herd emerald crabs will eat the stuff so ive though about getting one.
