About time to order and they sell a standard solution and a solution for pH 8.4+ that is listed as "pH reducing". My tank runs right at 8.4 24/7 with my large fuge on a reverse light cycle. Anyone used the pH reducing blend they sell or should I just stick with the standard 2-part?

Stick with the standard. It is really not about the number but more of a stability. If your pH is 8.4 all the time, I wouldn't change what you are doing.

+1 on that.chasing numbers will get u all out of whack.8.4 sounds pretty good to me

The problem comes from the Alkalinity dosing raising PH as well but if you are using the Recipe 1 already that may also be why your PH is that high so I wouldn't change it. If you aren't dosing their Alk and it is that high it will probably go a little higher with Recipe 1.

I've been running the Brightwell 2-Part for a long....long time. Could be why I'm already at 8.4. However, my Seachem Reefsalt tends to mix right around 8.4 too at a 1.026 SG, maybe just a touch lower.
