This past weekend I bought a clown fish from a sponsor. I put him in quarantine for a couple days, seemed to be doing good. Ate a little bit, swimming around fine. After a few days I put him in the display with my b&w clown. 2 Days ago I noticed what looks like a pimple on his "forehead" between his eyes, it wasnt very big at first but I just looked at it and its getting bigger. He hasnt really eaten anything in the last couple days.

I got him out and put him back in quarantine. There are no other signs of any sickness. Swimming fine, color is great, no other bumps/blemishes.

Just the pimple and lack of eating...

What do yall think this could be?

I have a 6 line wrasse that gets the same thing. It really does look like a pimple right between the eyes. When mine had it there was no wound or scrape that I could see. Eventually it went away but it took a while. I don't know what caused it but it didn't seem to have a negative effect on the fish eating.

If you havent ID'ed it as a disease, parasite, or otherwise sometimes things like this are a sign of poor water quality.

Once I noticed it was getting slightly bigger, I checked my chem levels and they were normal...I last did a 20% water change about a week ago. I read somewhere that it could be a sign of stress so Im hoping moving from the LFS to my QT to my display stressed him out a little bit and its nothing major...
