The whole "Limited Edition" concept is not what is used to be any more. I don't think the name Tyree LE carries near the cachet it did several years ago. The reason Tyree's stuff was well respected and pricy was because he was the only one that did it for a long while. His stuff was truly limited because there was just not a lot of it around.
Every Tom, **** and Harry coral seller has their own LE Corals now, so the sheer numbers of LE names out there now devalues the entire concept. That, along with many resellers use of actinic lighting, color manipulation, and Macro pictures makes it hard to get any kind of true idea as to what you are buying.
Sellers like Jason Fox are really just mass marketers any more. You can buy Fox's corals from WWC, Pacific East, That Pet Place, and from Fox himself. Before he started connecting up with places like Pac. East, WWC, and That Pet Place, Jason was a guy with a lot of coral reef tanks in his basement. He prowled around and collected coals he liked from the hobbyist perspective. He is a business now more than a collector. His stuff was pretty limited, but not any more.
Personally, the name Jason Fox or Tyree attached to a coral just doesn't mean as much as it did, and attaches much less value to a coral today, because everyone is on the LE bandwagon.
Buy what you like.
