So I was messing with my sump and noticed the effluent from my CA reactor was not dripping. So I opened it up and started to smell rotten eggs. I think my reactor has a sulfur buildup is that ok? I have stopped the drip for now to make sure it won't harm the tank. If it is not on what should I do?

Thanks,
Colin

Is the circulation pump working?

And I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be okay.

I've got 2 pumps. A feed pump and a recric and they were both on but the valve was closed so nothing was leaving. If that makes sense.

its normal colin. no flow is definitely the cause. fix the flow issue and all will be perfect again.

Just a little sulphur hydrogen - not too bad, try smelling my denitrator... haha

So it is ok to just restart the drip. Won't affect the tank? Awesome thanks guys.

Especially a denitrator that needs to be cleaned...:yuk: I had to do that a few weeks ago to mine.
