Calcium reactor in sump

Thinking about getting a calcium reactor but really have no more room inside cabinet other than the sump. Has anyone every heard of placing a them there or is that just ridiculous?
 
Nice, that makes the decision easy..... No more 2 part doseing!!!!!!!!
 
As long as the pumps are all submersible, of course... :)

I've seen some with Mag pumps (fine) and some with "regular" external pumps (not so fine). That probably goes without saying, though...

Should be ok with the pump on the top.
 
A lot of people do that. Our British distributor pairs out reactors with ehiem pumps for complete in sump operation.

Edit: Mag pumps will also work
