Forgive my ignorance. I understand that media like reborn release calcium and alkalinity in the proper ratio as consumed by corals. Does remag do the same? What ratio do you use?

They recommend starting with 10% remag to 90% reborn. I did that and found I had to bump up remag to roughly ~15%.
Will it maintain whatever level you want your mag at?

Yah you can just keep adding more media until it gets you where you want to be.
No, I haven't seen a unicorn locally. lol
I got stiffed by brs selling them early and Rit only got one. So my wait continues. I had a lot going on this week anyway and wouldn't have had time to set it up. I'm also going to be moving in the fall so I may just wait.
