Has anyone experienced any incorrect readings using Salifert Ca test kits? I had been using mine and it's been reading around 500ppm so I thought everything was ok. Well, I ventured into a Seachem brand tonight and the reading was 250ppm. I used the stock solution to check my test and the results came out as expected, which means that the 250ppm reading is actually correct. I was really surprised. Is it possible that 1 brand yields 500ppm and the other brand yields half the reading? I follow the directions and use the stock solution to check and I'm sure the Seachem test was done correctly. The Salifer test does not have the stock solution to compare against. Thoughts anyone?
