wow bryan you read my mind perfectly but i want to here what other people have to say about it i have been looking at this skimmer back and forth all day man great minds think alikelol

If you really want a good skimmer. i would save up some more. that PCS1000 is a little week and small for a 90 SPS tank IMO. But it will work but i think 56 months or a year from now you'll be looking for a better skimmer.

You can always modify it to perform better than stock with a mesh mod. So maybe that will be good enough.

Everybody has their favorite skimmer and alot of them are good. If you like that brand go with the PCS 2000 i think youll be happier

:D 56 months or a year :D You may need a newskimmer in 2008 or sometime in 2012.

Know it was a typo but made me chuckle.

The Octopus NW200 if you have room in your sump is a great bang for buck skimmer. http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_35&products_id=48">http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_35&products_id=48</a>. You could get by with the NW150, but I would move up.

An out of sump recirc that is small and pulls a lot of air is the DAS EX1 [IMG]http://www.protein-skimmer.com/shopping.asp?id=446996&itemid=6663&ct=1&shopperid=51134&merchantid=446996&shop=itemdetail.asp">http://www.protein-skimmer.com/shopping.asp?id=446996&itemid=6663&ct=1&shopperid=51134&merchantid=446996&shop=itemdetail.asp</a>

If you have a ton of room in your sump: [IMG]http://www.reefnut.com/reefshop/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=114">http://www.reefnut.com/reefshop/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=114</a> This thing will beat the hell out of a 90g

Slightly cheaper but will work great as well [IMG]http://www.reefnut.com/reefshop/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=113">http://www.reefnut.com/reefshop/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=113</a>

These are some good value for the dollar skimmers

These are some good value for the dollar skimmers
thanks i knew you would have an answer and you gave me a few.....i plan on making a sump out of a 30 l what would you put in or even as an out of sump skimmer

Got to tell you the NW-200 does heat your water, so keep that in mind. Those OTP pumps just put out some heat.

That skimmer makes the rounds... I got it from Big D. Here is the original post:

Basically a dual venturi... a bit noisy, but gets the job done.

dam you guys are fast im kind of looking for mor of a plug and play i dont want to have to go buy a pump for it but thanks for the offer

LOL, I remember that skimmer, I almost bought it!

I am so excited, my new skimmers come tomorrow! I can not wait to see how they perform!

It really is a good value. I think maybe if you slapped $300 on it and included a pump people would think it is better and buy it. Sometimes I think people need to believe a skimmer must be expensive to be good.

Ain't that the truth. I think the best deal is what you sold that shorty for Cam. Nice skimmer at an awsome price. Aww the good old days of Cameron's fish emporium!

Top secret... my rep is on the line with this one. The ones he has are really too small for a 90g.
