This is a single polyp, stands about 1" tall when inflated with lights out. During the day it's tentacles are retracted and the polyp lays on it's side.

Anyone have an idea of what I have here?

I asked this question in a previous post... but have better pictures now that it is growing. Dawgdude suggested it was a snake polyp, but I can't find any information or a Latin name.

Looks similar to my Palys, but they tend to be open in the day and closed at night. They never really fall all the way over like that though. Some of the little ones do a little, but never quite so much.

I have some in the 180 at the restaurant. Their name is something to do with a flower I think. In the zoa family

I know this thing is rather on the ugly side... but doesn't anyone have an idea what it might be?

Perhaps I should list it on eBay as a very rare, yet unnamed specimen... I can even give the buyer naming rights!
