As others have stated, you def. need to keep the SF fed well. When fed properly he is very docile, but when hungry the other inhabitants seem to be a little more interesting to him and he will swim all over the place in what looks like a search for food. I have been feeding mine a silverside every other day. With proper feeding, maintenance and water changes, it can be done. They are not big swimmers and do not need a lot of room. Mine just hangs out in the rocks most of the time.
