I changed salt last month to reef salt and was cleaning tank today found this

Good or bad should I try to get rid it or let it grow

Get rid of it. I would remove the rock or what's it attached to completely out of tank. If you try to physically remove it, it may spread.

Btw, change of salt has nothing to do with it being there. More or less a hitch hiker or came from somewhere other than the salt.
