candy cane question

I'm new to this and just bought a candy cane and it was mounted to a plastic top. The candy cane looks very happy but the plastic cap doesn't look so good in the tank. Is there a way to rempve it from the cap and make the cap happy in the trash can?

You should be able to just cut the plastic cap off with a sharp pair of shears. The coral should be fine, b/c that part is just skeleton anyhow.

Either that or u can break the base at the very bottom where it meats the plastic if u can get it off of the plastic, it wont harm it i frag my candy canes out all the time

once I get it off of the plastic how do I attach it to a rock in the tank.

super glue gel will work

any super glue but the loctite gel stuff in the blue bottle works very well glue it out of the water then let sit for about 30sec then put it back in the water and the saltwater will automatically cure it when it touches it, this is how i frag stuff out
