candy cane

How much light does a candy cane need? It was two colors, light purple and green, when I moved it closer to the light. Now its all a very light green.

Is this bleaching??

I don't think it would be bleaching unless the light was extreme and the water was warmer. My candy cane is almost like a light flourescent(sp?) green. I would say it is normal!

they don't take much light put it on the sandbed.

I have one almost identical to yours... of my three candy canes it is the most active and has been pretty happy with high light. It did greatly expand its mass under the light. It has been fairly high for several months. I have 2 other candies and the one (bright yellowish) hates light, the other (teal, compliments of ARC feb frag meet) has done good at various depths. In general they are a lower light LPS
