I am in the cycling process of my jbj rl 30. I had contemplated running a dual gfo/carbon reactor in my tank. I may run a single reactor with chemi pure elite.

Currently I have 250ml of carbon in my tank in a media basket and purigen in a high flow area of the tank.

How soon should I implement the reactor into my tank? Would it be useless adding it to the tank right now while cycling? Also, would it be more beneficial to run the Chemi Pure elite in a single reactor since it is said to last longer than traditional gfo and carbon?

OOORRRR could I bypass the reactor all together and put it in a high flow area of the tank?

Thanks for the help guys.

I would wait until cycle is over, use a dual reactor with gfo & rox carbon. I am not familiar with the products you want to use.

you can use what ever you want in the reactors but id be weary about one chemical that "lasts" longer than another more than likely the reason that it lasts longer is because its not absorbing as much junk. there are some medias with higher capacities, meaning they can hold more junk, but from my experience they just absorb faster so they last about the same amount time anyway
