Anyone have experience with this? I ran across a nice green carpet nem I picked up today. Stupidly I didn't do my research, and now I am worried about the Mandarin I have who has been in there for over a year.

Should I pull the Carpet back out? What do you guys think?

Not much I can do until the morning, so well see...

According to fish tank lore</em>, a carpet anemone will eat any fish that comes close enough to it.

They are also one of the most difficult anemones to keep in a tank.

Good Luck!!!

I think with a carpet the mandarin's days are numbered. I would remove the anemone.

Echo the above - lost several fish years ago with my green carpet. The sting is pretty powerful to fish so after losing two good sized yellow tangs, the carpet was traded. It was very difficult to remove since its foot attached down through the sand bed onto the bottom of the aquarium glass.
