Carpet Anemone doing a disapearing act

Ok I was thinking I was going crazy today I was cleaning the glass of my reef tank and was watching the Nemos playing in the Anemone one min. and cleaned the other side of the glass and when I looked back the Anemone was gone.
First I looked at the nemos thinking dang did you guys eat him after looking everywhere I found that he had disapppeared into the sand.....after about 3 hours he came back out....I have never seen one do this before.....

yup, that's just their way of expelling waste. If you see it doing it too much, check your water parms. A healthy one will do that once a month..... At least that's what I've noticed.

Agree with Lee. They're very sensitive to ph swings as well so make sure you don't have any large spikes.
