are there short AND long tentacled carpets????


i saw one gorgeous pic of a purple/blue one and it was shocking how long the tentacles were. is it simply luck that he got one with longer than normal tentacles??? it was gorgeous flowing in the water column.

i remember right when i started in the saltwater craze, someone told me they move around and attack corals. any input for those of you with them??

They don't move around attacking corals. I have two carpets, BTA, and a LT. They only move around if they don't like were they are at. One of my carpets like to stay in the shade and just hates the light. A lot of people tell you that they need a lot of light but it depends on the one you got and where they were taken from. If they were deep in the ocean where light is not as intense they they would hide from the light.

Lolz. Yea plus if they don't like where they are they will move all over the tank. And it would look like Godzilla went through your tank. I know I'm a bummer just don't want your tank to get wrecked

Mine is half was in the light and med flow. In high flow they may move on you. They can out grow a 34 gallon kinda fast. I do love mine though.
