Patience paid off. I put the net in the tank -- funny how they instinctively know that means danger. Well, I just held it in place for about 10 minutes then held a piece of food in some tweezers near the net -- then put the food in the net. Everyone was still cautious --- but got used to the net. The trigger finally decided to eat from the net -- and bingo -- I caught that sucker!
There was virtually no stress induced since I didn't chase him. I'm sure there's the stress of being caught.
Took him to my LFS and they traded him out for a large (medium) Copper Banded Butterfly. Just put him in the tank and no one seemed interested in him. I think it's because he didn't run from them. Hope he does well -- as I know they can be very temperamental.
