Chalice / Peroxide Dip?

Has anyone ever dipped a chalice in a 50/50 mixture of tank water and Hydrogen Peroxide? Algae on the disk...

I think that will end up as a dead chalice. You can, however, lay it on the counter and use a syringe and nondiluted peroxide if you're careful not to get any on the tissue. The very edge of the tissue may be ok, but try to keep in on the disk. Let it sit for a minute then rinse in tank water. I did this with my WM chalice with no issues. The edges of the chalice are typically a little elevated from the disk anyway. I can show you when I come over tomorrow.

I would scrub the plug with a tooth brush. Dip the toothbush in the dip and scrub the plug. Then rise it in a cup of tank water. Dont dip the entire chalice.

Chalices don't even like coral dip.

:up: Done this with a few corals with great success. Depending on where the algae is, you may be able to sit the frag in a cup and pour the peroxide up to a certain level so it doesn't touch the coral. Anything on top, I'd def use a toothbrush and carefully brush it on the algae.
