So couple of days ago Dylan and I found a maxi jet that had loose current. It hit me pretty hard. I didn't throw it away at the time. Well today I needed a mixing pump and forgot about it. I got a little shock... My heart just slowed down a bit. And my chest still hurts. My arm is a bit numb lol. Lesson of the day. Don't procrastinate and be cheap about throwing away busted equipment.

I think its a reminder to be careful with any equipment. Powerhead, heaters, etc. I threw away a lot of stuff just now. I honestly think I have been taking too many chances lately. Kinda brought saftey to mind little. I'm just glad I didnt have to go to teh ER like the other gentlemen and the rock cut

If you had just listened to me when I told you that I was getting shocked, you wouldn't have gotten shocked the first time.. Well maybe so, I did tell you to stick your hand in there. At least we found a potential problem before it became a bigger problem.

bum. You said , I THINK I am getting shock. than told me to try and hold it....

Hey Bud. Just a note of caution. Sounds like you got a pretty good hit. Even in mild cases, electrocution can have a lasting effect over the course of a few days. Because the heart uses electrical impulses to get the muscles to retract (how the heart beats) an electric shock can mess with the rythm of the heart beat. Not saying you should run to the Doc but, keep an eye on it. If you start to feel strange, don't waste time, get to the ER.

Honestly I'd say retarded (-= Cheap is like me where I save all my old wires and then strip them for the copper. Of course if that was your plan then you're both

Actually electrocution is any time current flows through the body regardless if it kills you or not. But... The main point of my post was out of concern for his well being not syntax. :-)

Thank you for the concern. The numbness to my arm and cheat have subsided. But my finger tips are still tender . If it doesn't go away by days end I'll probably visit my doc

Dang, I didn't know electrocution could be a long term issue. I get zapped all the time. Gets the endorphins pumping.

I blame you just because it is fun to blame you. Even if I had told you to throw it away, you wouldn't have.

Actually electrocution means to be killed by electricity. He was shocked once again just saying

The funniest was when I had a glass cup in my hand and plugged something into a outlet and got electricuted. The electricity took over my muscles and make me throw the glass across the room! It was numb and tingly for a day. Being dumb and cheap always comes back to get you.

I would have paid to see that. Who says white boys can't dance?????

One of the other members that lives near me already busted me out last night, when he commented on how much vortechs usually cost in front of her. Haha. She just looked at me and shook her head
