Cheato Growing Slime

Ok I have been fighting this for a few weeks now, I pull it off and a week later more is on it. Dont know where its come from maybe someone on here can tell me what I am doing wrong.

Mine does the same thing. It will grow slime and red slime sometimes.
Sticking around for an answer.

My sump has a slime film on the surface of the water. Never really thought much abotu it.

Tank has been running for almost 2 years now and I have never seen this up to 2 months ago. CHanged my sump light to the same kind of light that was there before so that cant be it.

Has it never caused issues? I have been removing mine.

Just started about a year ago. I haven't noticed any issues with it.

Its nothing to worry about. Mi e does it also. When i trim the cheato i take the part with the slime.
