Cheato Help Please

Hello everyone my new 150 is almost ready to fire up!I'm need of some cheato and live rock for the sump!Its my first RR set up and has totally Bankrupted me lol,but it will be pumping water tomorrow!I just need some stuff for the refugium that I didn't have in the cost.Any help would be so great!And what kind of sock filter should I use?Maybe like a filter for a hang on back over one of my returns to the sump?TY Chris

It will be useless putting chaeto in your system until it is cycled, IMO.

I agree, you want to let the tank cycle before you put any of the macro algae in the system. Those algaes feed off the nitrates in your system, and until you get the tank up and running there will be nothing to feed the algae.

I am speaking from experience... I added chaeto to my sump during the cycle and after a week or so it bleached and died. Wait a month or so and you will be good to go.

Oh btw, I have grape chaluprea if you need some.

TY for the input!This is my first RR set up so its new,my 60 gallon only has hang on back filters.What about the sock filters please?
