I just moved everything but the tank to the basement, adding about 100gal of water to the system. My ph has gone up to 8.8-9.0. Alk is 10, Ca is 375, phos are 0. I am wondering if adjusting the ca reactor will help with the ph. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Ca reactor usually pushes the pH down. 8.8-9.0 is very high - I'd be surprised if everything in your tank was still doing ok... Are you sure your probe is calibrated?

Not running any other probes nearby are you? I thought running a pH probe too close to an ORP probe could mess up the readings?

It is near a temp probe but that the way it was before I moved them from the sump to the tank.

must have been a bad 7.0 std. I recaled with same results. opened another 7.0 to check and it read high. Recaled with the new one and now am reading 8.01. Hope this was the prob. To much new stuff going on when I made the change.

Thanks for your help.
