Hello,

I am looking to build up my reef tank. Have a 29 gallon biocube...which chemicals would you recommend to promote coral health and growth???

I'm a fan of the KISS principle... Calcium, Magnesium, Alkalinity. I don't dose any of the wonder supplements, just keep the water parameters where they need to be and give them enough light.

i agree with cr500 although i dont dose anything at all..i just do weekly water changes with high quality salt

Agreed in principle, but I've yet to find a salt that doesn't need SOMETHING dosed to get it where I want it.

Just starting out? Don't dose anything until you have a really good understanding of how one supplement reacts in turn to another supplement. Ca, Alk and PH go hand in hand, dosing one higher will make another drop.....

Just stick to regular waterchanges until you research fully the effects of each supplement.

Just my .02

:)

Wen starting to dose your tank use a 2 part like reefcode a@b it will help you not over dose your tank you can also use brightwell reefbuilder its a blend of all the cal alkyl mag it worked early well wen I was running a nano. Wc can work to reloads elements but that's dependit on your stock sps and lps nead lots of cal and Alk to have good growth. Just go slow with sups till you git use to dosing

i do weekly water changes in my biocube 29 with sps using red sea coral pro and values seem to stay consistent
