Anybody have an idea where locally I can get a chiller serviced. Looks like it will need a new fan and I am sure a fresh recharge.

No one has any ideas? Are these things just disposable or what?? Has no one ever had one of these things repaired or fixed?

Hi, I am on my phone and can't see what part of town you are in but Jenn at Imagine Ocean has somebody that fixes them.

Thanks Schwimm, I will give her a call in the morning. By the way I am in Marietta.

We found parts to ours (probe died) on-line but that won't help for new refrigerant.

refrigerant never wears out or goes away it only leaks out....... i can fix it i do refrigeration and hvac

Years ago (like 301) FAMA published a How-to article on building a chiller using a college dorm mini refrigerator (those stocky brown ones). Basically, 10 or more feet of poly tubing ran through it and was returned to the tank. I have no idea whether or not it worked, but I happen to remember the article.

I do have a guy... but for full disclosure, another member brought 2 chillers in to me not too long ago. I tried to reach my guy - left him several messages, and he never called me back.

He's a customer too and I usually see him for water fairly regularly but I haven't seen him for that either.

Not sure what's up - and frankly I'm a bit worried. Not like him not to get back to me, even if it's to say that he's too busy to come in any time soon.

So I can try to reach the guy again, if you're interested, but I felt badly because the other member ended up picking up his chillers without having them fixed, because my guy is AWOL. :(
