So, I could use some help here. I am preparing to store my chiller for a while and I was wondering what other people on here have done for this. Is there a place I can take my chiller to have the water blown out of it? Is there another method people have used without having to take the chiller somewhere? I would rather save the time, hassle, and money in doing this, so any suggestions you guys have will be taken seriously. Let me know if I am not being clear in exactly what I am asking here. Thanks for everyone's help!

Store? Why?

One on my last tank just stayed connected, outside. When I took it down I just sprayed a hose through it for a few sec and stuck it in the basement. Luckily I dont need it yet on the new system.

Well, I am moving to Dallas, TX in January and my tank/equipment is staying here for the time-being. I am renting a loft in uptown and will not have room for it until we get a house after a year-and-a-half. So, the chiller/tank/sump and all other equipment is going to be stored here.

To your second point: So what you are saying is that it does not need to be blown out with air? If you flush it with fresh water/vinegar that will eventually evaporate internally and not present a problem? Just making sure I don't set myself up for a tank-nuking when I reapply all of my equipment in a couple of years.

ah i thought you ment store it for the winter.

But yeah, youre worrying to much. Just flush it out with some freash water so it doesnt stink later.
