are there affordable chillers out there or do they all run 400 plus? i am seeing a rise in water temps.

How much of a rise and do you run fans? Yes chillers go cheaper than that on here used for sale

i try to keep my temp around 78- 79 max .... i have seen it at 81.7 so far. I have began droping lunch freezer packs in my sump as a temp fix as well as cutting back the ammount of time the lights are on..

In the fowlr tank? If so what lights and are you running fans?

no i dont have any fans as of yet.. and the lights are just power compacts 4x65

I think fans alone would get your temps down where you need them.
For the price of a chiller you could do the fans and t-5 lighting. Cooler all the way around and a broader color specrum with the 5's

do you have a certain fan you have in mind... the only fans i use to use before were in the sump and i mainly used them to lower the humidity and prevent mold. never needed fans in the canopy

Can you post a pic of your canopy and it's height?

ya i made it myself.. i was proud of it untill i saw some of the builds on here by a few of the other guys... lol i will post pics later but its 8 1/2 inches tall ...

Then you have plenty of room to add fans. You could raise the canopy up too until you do and get the lights further away from the water
