Clam/toadstool grown together

How can I separate the 2 apart without killing my clam. The clam is about 4",toadstool is about 8" and growing up the side of the clam. Can I cut the toadstool loose with a razor or what?i have tried changing flow to maybe make the toadstool let go,that didnt help.please help


Ps:as of now there fine and happy. I'm just worried something will happen

it's extremely hard to kill a toadstool, when you cut it with a razor blade if anything is left on the clam it will grow more toadstool.

should i just cut the whole toadstool off the rock or just cut it loose from the clam????

I would move it, the clam needs plenty of light
