my Cleaner Shrimp has taken a liking to my gbta, he is right on the edge of him, occasionaly touching the nem. My clowns layed eggs underneath it last week, maybe this is the attraction? The clowns have laid several times though but the shrimp never bothered em before.

Shrimpy death wish maybe??

Same here. I actually had to give the cleaners a tiny bit of silversides before I fed my nem, or they'd dive inside it (even when folded around its meal) and steal the whole thing, drag it out, and eat it.

It was pretty funny to then see a nassarius snail come along and steal it from them... he'd just sit on top of it and eat, and they'd sit there and "box" at his shell trying to get him to move. Major frustration!

so your saying that the nem cant sting the scrimp? i only feed my nem weekly or so and i didnt feed him at all in the last week. the scrimp is normally behind rocks about 3 ft away from the nem, only ventures away when the lights are off - not he is all up in the front in full light. hes probably starving! ive really cut back on feedings trying to reduce my trates n such. i actually cut back to every other day feedings for right now - need to step it back up i guess.

That's all I ever feed! :)

Scrimp?

Happens all the time. Eggs might be an attractant, when I had the 120 here at the shop and my clowns spawned, the female spent most of her time trying to keep my cleaner shrimp at bay.

The anemone *could* eat the shrimp but the shrimp are pretty nimble and can flirt with disaster and still remain unscathed.

ya know - alot of others do too - i hear of people feeding several times a day and people feeding every other day or less.....its odd as when i read the care instructions for my tang and wrasse it says to feed several times per day. I only fed my FOWLR every 2-3 days or so
