clear pvc pipe used for tank plumbing?

I saw some clear pvc pipe and fittings online and was thinking this would be cool to use in the plumbing of my tank. Are there any reasons I shouldn't use this? Will algea grow on the inside of the pipe and cause problems?

Algae will clog the pipe eventually.....

Would not be worth the added expense, and when you think about it, theres just somethings you really just don't need to see...

I know it's not needed and if y'all think it will grow algea on the inside I will stay away from it...the algea would look pretty ugly, and not be so "cool" down the road.

I think I'm going to use black pvc instead...again not needed but I think it'll look good.
When the tank finally arrives I'll do a build thread.

I have clear 1/2" tubing to my UV and GFO/Carbon reactors. Need to clean the algae out every couple of months.

I have heard that when algae starts to grow in the clear pipe it will release oxygen creating micro bubles in your tank...not good

I like using flexible PVC, however I would recommend staying away from the clear tubing... too much of an algae hassle. I have used black tubing for all of my tank plumbing.
