So what is the best way to clean up cloudy glass. The tank is fine, but the center brace is cloudy. So I plan to get this thing all cleaned up, and the Overflow Baffles put back in place.
There are a couple of light scratches in the front...but may be at sand level. I will see if I have more after I get it all cleaned up.
Plan to use Vinegar and water to clean the inside of the tank. Unless someone knows of something better to use?

Yeah I soaked the glass covers last night. They have come out fine. The center brace will be harder, well impossible to soak:D So just have to do a but of scrubbing. The top side I can spray and let sit, the bottom side I will have to spray and spray. No biggy.
Vinegar is probably the safest bet anyway.

I bought some used tanks from a closing LFS not too long ago. The glass was hazy/cloudy and I couldn't seem to get it clean with bleach, vinegar, etc... I put a high speed buffer on it with rubbing compound. Presto, like new!

Bingo...same deal on this Center Brace from the way it sounds. Thanks for the heads up. Did you use regular Rubbing Compound for like a cars finish?

Yes, I believe I started with a coarse rubbing compound, stepped up to polishing compound, then I gave it another vinegar bath and rinsed real well.

Well wiped everything down with vinegar. The hazy stuff lifted where the water line was at. However, the haze on the center brace is being stubborn. Some came off, but it didn't fully disappear. So may have to look for a stronger abrasive, then step up.
