So I have been worried that my snowflake will turn female, and the reason that worried me was because I would have liked to have another one around the same size so that she would not be too aggressive to introduce a juvenile to pair with. I don't know too much about clowns from experience but mine is definitely going through some changes. for one thing, it seems to be getting bigger all of a sudden. Another sign is I can't put my hand in the tank without it attacking me repeatedly, and also attacks any corals I add. I took a rock out and fragged it (With the help of Jimmy Stephens) and when adding the frags back one by one she attacked them all lol. Now I have noticed something else that is new. Before "it" would stay near the top of the tank, and once food dropped down to the corals it was for the crabs. Now, being the only fish in a small 8g biocube, she seems to host the entire tank. She feeds all the LPS (duncan, FS, hammerspawnthingy) and hosts them all. It is like she is hosting the entire tank. I think this is why she has become so aggressive towards me. It is her tank now lol. Suddenly the frogspawn is huge compared to before, and I just saw her take a pellet to it. Alo this is a strangely convenient fish to feed. I try giving her different kinds of food but not interested in cyclop-eeze, frozen brine, or anything except nutrafin granules and flakes, but will eat the granules any time. totally not interested in the shrimp.

anyway just wanted to share. my little baby is growin' up :)

The problems arise when the new fish is the same size. You want to introduce a much smaller fish and let yours turn into female.

okay cool thanks for the tip. I am really considering one of your smokey O's. I just really like the way they look, and the pricetag doesn't hurt! before I saw that I was waiting for something that I felt good about shelling out $$ for. I also saw some onyx that I really like. Either way I'm hoping to check out what you have when I'm in your area and we can talk a little bit about clownfish. They are my favorite fish!
